1. Agreement
These Terms of Service apply to the Cameron website, dashboard, software, camera intelligence services, and related support services. By creating an account, connecting cameras, or using Cameron, you agree to these Terms.
If you use Cameron for a business, you confirm that you have authority to accept these Terms for that business.
2. The Cameron Service
Cameron helps businesses use existing cameras to understand operational activity, generate alerts, view metrics, and monitor business conditions. Cameron is designed as an operational intelligence tool. It is not a replacement for human management, professional advice, emergency services, legal compliance review, or dedicated life-safety systems.
3. Accounts And Access
You are responsible for your account, users, permissions, passwords, connected cameras, and configuration choices. You must keep account credentials secure and promptly remove access for people who should no longer use Cameron.
You are responsible for all activity under your account unless it is caused by Cameron's breach of these Terms.
4. Lawful Camera Use
You are responsible for using cameras and Cameron lawfully. This includes complying with privacy, employment, surveillance, workplace, data protection, and recording laws that apply to your business and locations.
You must provide notices, obtain consents, and avoid camera placement in areas where recording or monitoring would be unlawful or inappropriate. You must not use Cameron for unlawful surveillance, discrimination, harassment, or any purpose that violates another person's rights.
5. Customer Data
You keep ownership of your customer data, including camera data, video, images, metrics, configuration, alerts, and account content. You grant Cameron the right to process that data only as needed to provide, maintain, secure, support, and improve Cameron for your account.
Cameron may store up to one month of video or camera-derived visual data from connected cameras. Cameron may store operational metrics indefinitely while your account remains active. If you delete your account, Cameron will erase customer operational data, subject only to limited records required for legal, tax, billing, dispute, or security reasons.
6. No Sale Or Third-Party Use Of Customer Data
Cameron does not sell, rent, trade, or share your camera data, video, metrics, or account data with third parties for their own use. Cameron does not use your customer data for third-party advertising.
Cameron may disclose information only if required by law, legal process, a valid governmental request, your explicit instruction, or where necessary to protect Cameron, customers, or others from fraud, security threats, or harm.
7. AI-Assisted Outputs
Cameron uses AI-assisted analysis to help identify events, risks, patterns, and opportunities. AI outputs may be incomplete, delayed, or incorrect. You are responsible for reviewing important information and making final decisions.
You should not rely on Cameron as the sole method for safety-critical, security-critical, medical, legal, financial, or emergency decisions.
8. Fees, Wallets, And Usage
Cameron may use a wallet-based billing model. Customers add funds to a Cameron wallet and pay based on AI usage plus any applicable camera maintenance fees, subscription fees, taxes, or other charges shown in the dashboard or order process.
You are responsible for keeping sufficient wallet balance for continued service. If your balance is too low, Cameron may limit or pause service until funds are added. Wallet balances and fees are non-refundable except where required by law or expressly agreed in writing.
9. Acceptable Use
You must not misuse Cameron. Prohibited uses include attempting to bypass security, reverse engineer the service except where lawfully permitted, disrupt the service, access data that is not yours, upload malicious code, violate laws, or use Cameron in a way that harms other people or businesses.
10. Availability And Changes
We aim to provide a reliable service, but Cameron may be unavailable from time to time due to maintenance, updates, outages, third-party infrastructure issues, or events beyond our control. We may improve, change, suspend, or discontinue parts of the service over time.
11. Suspension And Termination
You may stop using Cameron or request account deletion. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms, fail to pay required fees, create security risk, misuse the service, or if continued service would expose Cameron or others to legal or operational risk.
12. Intellectual Property
Cameron and its software, website, dashboard, branding, designs, and service technology belong to Cameron or its licensors. These Terms do not transfer any Cameron intellectual property to you.
Your customer data remains yours, subject to the limited rights needed for Cameron to provide the service.
13. Software License And Third-Party Notices
Installed Cameron software, including runtime agents, setup tools, and update packages, is also governed by the Cameron End User License Agreement.
Cameron includes third-party software components governed by separate open source and third-party licenses. Third-party notices, including FFmpeg source and build information, are available at Third-Party Notices.
14. Disclaimers
Cameron is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee that Cameron will detect every event, prevent every loss, identify every risk, or operate without interruption or error.
15. Limitation Of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Cameron will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, business interruption, or loss of goodwill.
Where liability cannot be excluded, Cameron's total liability will be determined by a Court if a settlement cannot be reached.
16. Changes To These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the date above and provide notice where appropriate. Continued use of Cameron after changes become effective means you accept the updated Terms.
17. Contact
