1. Overview
Cameron provides AI-powered camera intelligence for businesses. Our service connects to customer camera systems and turns visual information into alerts, operational metrics, and analytics for the customer's own use.
We do not sell customer data. We do not share customer video, camera data, or operational metrics with third parties for advertising, resale, marketing, or any unrelated purpose.
2. Information We Collect
Depending on how a customer uses Cameron, we may collect and process:
- Account information, such as business name, user names, email addresses, roles, settings, and login information.
- Camera information, such as camera names, connection details, site structure, and configuration choices.
- Video, images, and camera feed data from connected cameras.
- Operational metrics and observations created from camera analysis, such as counts, detected states, alerts, timestamps, and historical trends.
- Device, runtime, diagnostic, and security logs needed to keep Cameron working reliably.
- Billing, wallet, and usage information needed to run the customer account.
- Support messages and other information a customer sends to us directly.
3. How We Use Information
We use customer information only to provide, maintain, secure, support, and improve Cameron for that customer. This includes connecting cameras, showing dashboards, generating customer-facing alerts and metrics, troubleshooting issues, managing accounts, billing for usage, and protecting the service against misuse or security threats.
We do not use customer video or metrics for unrelated advertising, resale, or marketing. We do not use customer camera data to build profiles for third parties.
4. Camera Video Retention
Cameron may store up to one month of video or camera-derived visual data from connected cameras. After that period, video is deleted or overwritten as part of normal retention.
Customers should assume that connected cameras may be processed by Cameron while the service is active. Customers are responsible for deciding which cameras to connect and whether any camera should be excluded from the service.
5. Metrics Retention
Cameron stores operational metrics and historical analytics indefinitely while the customer account remains active. This lets customers see trends over time, compare performance, and use their own historical data for operational decisions.
If a customer deletes their account, Cameron will erase the customer's video, metrics, account configuration, and operational data, subject only to limited records we are required to keep for legal, tax, billing, dispute, or security purposes.
6. Customer Control And Account Deletion
Customers may request deletion of their account. Account deletion is intended to erase all customer operational data, including stored video and metrics. Some copies may remain briefly in encrypted backups or logs until those systems rotate or are securely deleted.
Where a legal obligation requires us to keep a narrow record, we will keep only what is necessary and will not use it for any other purpose.
7. Sharing And Disclosure
We do not sell, rent, trade, or share customer video, camera data, operational metrics, or account data with third parties for their own use.
We may disclose information only if required by law, legal process, or a valid governmental request, or where necessary to protect Cameron, our customers, or others from fraud, security threats, or harm. If a customer explicitly instructs us to send information somewhere, we may follow that instruction.
8. Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect customer data. These may include access controls, encryption in transit, restricted internal access, monitoring, and secure deletion practices.
No system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Customers should also protect their own accounts, passwords, networks, cameras, and staff access.
9. Customer Responsibilities
Customers are responsible for using cameras lawfully. This includes giving any required notices, obtaining any required consent, following employment, privacy, and surveillance laws, and avoiding camera placement in areas where recording would be inappropriate or unlawful.
10. Children's Privacy
Cameron is a business service and is not intended for children. Customers should not use Cameron to intentionally collect information from children unless they have a lawful basis and all required permissions.
11. Changes To This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the date above and provide notice where appropriate.
12. Contact
Questions about this Privacy Policy, account deletion, or customer data can be sent through the contact option provided on the Cameron website or dashboard.
